Feelings of tension, worried thoughts, recurring intrusive thoughts or concerns, and physical changes like high blood pressure, excessive sweating is commonly experienced by people with anxiety. There could be many possible causes of Anxiety that differ from situation to situation, different age groups, lifestyles, work-life, etc.
Anxiety and Youth: Career
Anxiety varies from person to person, Youth also can experience anxiety in certain stages. Fear of getting failed or fewer marks in exams, worrying thoughts about their career and future, thoughts of losing their reputation in society may lead to unusual anxiety in which youth may appear withdrawn, or uneasy in a social setting. Nowadays finding a good job and getting selected is not a piece of cake, Competitions getting tougher day by day, fear of performing in an interview and getting rejected causes anxiety which may stay longer than usual. In that stage, they need support and guidance from their loved ones and professionals who guide them for their career and calm their anxious emotions.
Anxiety and Adult: Workload
It is very common at that age to have unusual anxiety emotions that are associated with the workload and balancing professional and personal life. Have you ever noticed that anxiety is preventing you from concentrating on whatever you’re currently doing? You might feel anxious that you’re not working during times that are incompatible like if you are doing a certain task but you keep thinking something else, something else keeps going in your mind that causes disturbance and decreases your productivity and makes you feel irritated, stressed and eventually disturbs your personal life. It would be good if you could spend time with your family and loved ones and take advice from psychologist professionals to rid all of the emotional breakdowns.
Anxiety and Old Adults: Loneliness
Getting retired from a job and going into new days is not easy at all. A sudden change of schedule or routine into an inactive and quiet lifestyle can make people feel low. This kind of sudden change is not easy and could impact different people in different ways. Less interaction with people creates feelings of loneliness that may lead to anxious emotions which affect their minds and interferes with memory. Old people often get neglected by society in terms of mental emotions for several reasons; some are unable to find a purpose or passion and some are unable to find a companion to talk to or share their emotions. Sometimes, their children are unable to give enough time to them which may make them feel alone or unwanted. They start living isolated from society for a variety of reasons, getting older or weaker, no longer being the hub of their family, leaving the workplace, the deaths of spouses and friends, or through disability or illness. Whatever the reason, they need support from their children, family, and friends to make them feel loved, and sometimes they might also need professional support to get out of hard times or help them to adopt the new lifestyle with a better spirit.
